world-wide worry

CUTE HUH? well, it's not!
not only are these poor animals loosing their homes, but they're also having
a hard time relocating themselves to a more bearable place to live in.

PLAY ME!

"HELP THE PEOPLE, NOT THE BUSINESS.
SAVE THE EARTH, NOT THE SYSTEM!"

we just turned the Earth into an ice cube

We might as well start growing gills

OK, so I'm guessing many of you already know or heard about this "global warming" issue, but
do we really know what is going on that we end up getting such a reaction from Mother Nature?
The endless typhoons, unpredictable tsunamis and numerous earthquakes. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that something is definitely wrong with our planet.
So lets start with the basics. What on earth is Global warming and Climate change?
Well, Global warming and Climate change means the increase in the expected global temperatures.
I know, you must be thinking "is this suppose bother us ?" I mean, isn't a warmer weather better for everyone? Sure it is, who wants to worry about frostbites and blizzards? It's the fast pace of the planet's temperature rising is what's causing this world-wide concern because this is negatively affecting humans and the environment.
Doesn't that make you think? What have we been doing wrong?
our planet is wearing off and this is all from the over use of our natural resources.
Climate change is causing several species to be endangered.
Besides the animals the entire world and the human race is in danger.

"Two thousand scientists, in a hundred countries, engaged in the most elaborate, well organized scientific collaboration in the history of humankind, have produced long-since a consensus that we will face a string of terrible catastrophes unless we act to prepare ourselves and deal with the underlying causes of global warming."

--AL GORE, speech at National Sierra Club Convention, Sept. 9, 2005

I believe that the climate is going to be more of a political idea in the future, why political you say? Because i think this will definitely affect the economy and jobs in the future. Don't you think? It will take time for people to realize that this is happening right now,
because we are blind of what's happening around us, we feel that the weather is getting warmer and warmer and we complain about it. Why not do something about it? This generation now-a-days is so used to having things done for them.
In the future we will all ponder on why and how we should go about conserving energy.
The climate change has given me something I can fight against since I'm still at an early age. Anyone can fight the amount of pollutants they release from their everyday use.
I definitely think it's not too late.
Saving the world from ourselves, because if we don't do something now, we might as well start growing gills or learn to love being tan the whole year round. really,
it's as easy as REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE. It's the least we can do to help out Mother Earth.

  1. Polar Bears are becoming endangered because of these continuous climatic changes. The ice caps they're supposed to inhabit are quickly melting and depleting. I guess the truth is always harsh.

  2. it's so sad to know that we're the reason this is happening to the only livable planet this solar system has.

unless they find another one out of the 900 planets out there

  3. global warming is said to be caused by "human-induced emissions" that mainly comes from burning of gases, oils, or what we call fossil fuels... also contibuting are forest clearings and other human activities.. therefore, we're the reason why we are suffering from this..we had no one else to blame but only ourselves. we should start from ourselves and try to slow down the warming of our beloved planet... if everyone would just do even just little things, we could sum that up for a bigger change for our mother earth.

  7. Climate change can..
increase drought extreme. higher temperature cause a higher rate of evaporation and more drought in some areas of the world..

  20. Sometimes, I honestly 'do' have more compassion towards the sufferings of the animals than that of our own brethren haha. All I can say is, we truly are our own downfall.

  21. yeah like i said, saving our planet from ourselves.. it's scary

  22. educating people should be the first step. they should know what's really happening in various areas and species in our planet. they should well be informed of the consequences and the causes of these earth-destroying phenomenon. they should be convinced to do something in their own homes and the society and environment they lived in, and most importantly, START NOW! the little things they do may not be as obvious as what the scientists and various groups are doing, but it is contributing something if we only we look closely in the bigger picture.

  23. some people are still skeptical that global warming is happening. some of the objections are mainly political but there are also a few scientists that remain unconvinced that humans the cause of the warming and that this is just a natural process.

it doesn't change the fact, however, that global warming is really happening - humans responsible or not.

    why you gotta be anonymous?"

heheh sorry i just remembered that song..
but yeah i guess, that's another side to be considered.
maybe it is just a natural way of how planets are..
    they live and die

  28. hey Yen... thanks for the great blog you have here. Even this issue had already been all over the world but people tend not to accept the reality. We refuse and ignore these calamities as our concrete evidences of the great global warming. Many people were dead and many innocent children were victimized by the vicious monster. We made this monster but we blame others people... This is really sad to know the reality of life.. ohh welll hope we can do more for a change...
